I absolutely love this automatic feeder. I bought two in April when I knew I was going to be away for a few days and wanted to make sure my cat wouldn't eat all the dry food in one go. I haven't had any issues since buying it. The stainless steel bowl is easy to take out for cleaning. You can program up to 8 feedings per day and set different portion controls based on the time of day (for example, my cats also eat wet food in the morning, so they have less dry food than in the evening). I've never had a problem with it not releasing food. I like that it has a wired and battery powered option because I keep them close to the plug so it's great to have them run on battery. My cats have no problem eating from them, the sides are low enough to prevent whisker fatigue, and the noise of it dispensing food doesn't scare them. It saves me from many mornings where I get up first thing in the morning - instead I just program their food and they stop bothering me to eat at dawn! I also love that when I'm at work, I don't have to worry about being home at a certain time because I know they'll be feeding at the same time every day (if you know anything about cats, you know they like to stick to a schedule!) Bought them for a great price and I love them so if they are on sale I highly recommend getting one. When I decided to buy them, it was the best price compared to other models with this level of sophistication.
