We've struggled to manage our dog after she recently had a mast cell tumor removed on her leg and neck. The plastic cone supplied by the vet sent her into a frenzy , trying to dislodge it , causing injury to her, our home and much stress. Our failure to keep the cone on her and her dislike of it meant we spent a week stressed , trying to stop her licking the wound, which was left uncovered by the vet to heal faster. The inevitable result being it was healing slower and causing more distress and lack of sleep while we slept downstairs to keep a check on her.
This was such a good buy and resulted in a dramatic change. We bought a wound pad from boots to place short term over the area after cleaning with salt water and then put this on her.
She is now contentedly asleep
