Really thought this was the final straw for our precious girl, she had a tear to her CCL (canine cruciate ligament, our ACL) and was limping horribly! Sometimes walking as a tri-pod. Support for her rear left knee was urgently needed as surgery’s not an option - she had a cancerous thyroid gland removed in 2020 and currently on a chemotherapy treatment having loose stools. This dog was getting hit from every angle! She couldn’t squat long enough without support from a Dog Knee Brace to complete her movement, so locating one was critical.
I spent hours on crawlpaw reviewing various designs of dog knee braces for supporting dogs with CCL or knee injuries. Prior experience with another rescued dog and TPLO surgery gave me a clear idea what to look for - this Dog Knee Brace is perfect. Why?
First, it has a wrap around the back support so the brace doesn’t continually slip off the dog’s knee. This is a real problem with many other braces. Second, the two adjustable straps with a space for your dog’s knee permitting it to bend. You can tighten the knee brace sufficiently that your dog can walk almost as if it’s wearing a cast - it really seems to relieve the stress and pressure from the dog’s knee joint so my Lab wasn’t walking like a tri-pod or limping as hard.
I’m honestly stunned by the design and quality of this dog’s knee brace having paid a LOT more at the surgeon’s following TPLO surgery for my other dog. Seriously, my “primary care vet” was even impressed so much they asked for the product link her on crawlpaw. I’m so happy because she’s been able to develop scar tissue for the tear, avoid impossible surgery for a dog with cancer, and we’re enjoying extra time with our precious family member which may otherwise have resulted in an early decision none of us wants to make.
One word of advice on ordering, measure carefully and precisely. If you’re in-between sizes and can afford it order both and donate the other to your favorite rescue.

I’ve tried a few different braces for my 14 year old dog. This one fits well and allows her to walk confidently around the yard.

Very happy with product and recommend if your dog torn acl as it did help mine walk a little better. Item doesn't remove pain just helps with stability.

This brace is exactly what I hoped for! I just had a procedure done on my senior dog last year for a torn ACL. She recently started limping again and I really didn’t want to put her through more surgery. As soon as I put the brace on, my dog was able to walk without limping. The brace provides the extra support she needs. It’s perfect for my senior dog!!

My Chihuahua tore his ACL on his back leg. Was recommended this knee brace by my chiropractor and has helped tremendously. I live on a third floor of an apartment, so it is easy for my dog to get up and down the stairs with it on. Helps him walk and build muscle slowly so we don’t lose it all together.

Bought for a 9 year old Chihuahua to support his bad right knee. I wasn't sure if I noticed any difference in his walk, until i removed the knee brace and saw his body immediately sag down to the right side. It very clearly was helping.

I purchased LISPOO knee pads for my 7 year old Chihuahua. It has helped her tremendously and has made a huge difference her not limping. The brace was perfect size and loved that it was firm but soft. It was easy to put on and adjustable. I would definitely recommend it.

THIS! is everything. My dog, Chihuahua, had a torn ACL came on suddenly from running. The vet wanted to do surgery, but he is 6. So we opted to try a brace first. He does not like clothing, so this was a risk. The seemed frustrated at first, but quickly put weight on it and began walking with full agility. This saved him from risky surgery and extended his quality of life.

We got this brace for our dog who tore her ccl, had tplo surgery on that leg & then immediately partially tore the ccl on the other back leg. We couldn't afford another surgery. This has really helped her knee to be supported & she seems to be doing better & much happier! There is a bit of a learning curve to getting it on & staying on.
