My cat expected to eat at all times of day and night. The meowing was ridiculous and annoying at 3, 5 AM! She was getting hefty, and kept pooping gallore! Now she's on schedule twice a day and looks sexy again lol! I do have a battery in it as a back up just in case. It is very easy to clean, and holds a large amount of food in its container. There is absolutely no way this girl of mine can give herself any extra feeds. I love it, and can't imagine going without it now!

It takes 15 portions to equal a half cup for our dog. He is a 75lb dog so I feed him 4 x a day to equal 2 cups. He loves when the kibble starts pouring out in the bowl. He whimpers with excitement. My husband made it custom height so our 9year old pittie wouldn't have to bend over. It's fantastic that he doesn't wake us up on weekend mornings. He loves eating at 6am so that's when he eats his first half cup of food. It would be even better for cats or small dogs but we made it work just fine for our pooch. Easy setting up the app. Love it!

I absolutely love this automatic feeder. I bought two in April when I knew I was going to be away for a few days and wanted to make sure my cat wouldn't eat all the dry food in one go. I haven't had any issues since buying it. The stainless steel bowl is easy to take out for cleaning. You can program up to 8 feedings per day and set different portion controls based on the time of day (for example, my cats also eat wet food in the morning, so they have less dry food than in the evening). I've never had a problem with it not releasing food. I like that it has a wired and battery powered option because I keep them close to the plug so it's great to have them run on battery. My cats have no problem eating from them, the sides are low enough to prevent whisker fatigue, and the noise of it dispensing food doesn't scare them. It saves me from many mornings where I get up first thing in the morning - instead I just program their food and they stop bothering me to eat at dawn! I also love that when I'm at work, I don't have to worry about being home at a certain time because I know they'll be feeding at the same time every day (if you know anything about cats, you know they like to stick to a schedule!) Bought them for a great price and I love them so if they are on sale I highly recommend getting one. When I decided to buy them, it was the best price compared to other models with this level of sophistication.

I was looking for automatic feeders for my animals when I came across this. I have a cat and a rabbit and thee work perfectly for both animals. I purchased two, one for my rabbit and one for my cat. They adjusted to them right away. The portion amount will take some experimenting, but I found setting the portion amount to 1, @ 4 portions per day works just fine. I set the time of day and that's it. The stainless steel bowl is removeable, so it's easy to clean. The hopper holds a lot of food, and both hoppers are about 1/2 full after 2 weeks of usage. Set up was easy as well. The unit comes in 5 pieces. The hopper, the bowl tray, the bowl, hopper cover and the ac power adapter. It took less than a minute to assemble, and about 3 minutes to program the settings. It also has a 10 second message feature that allows you to record a personal message when it's feeding time. Highly recommended!

Our cats are very annoying when it comes to food (multi-cat household). We also have a cat on a different diet, so we bought this product and another dual feeder product. Oh my gosh, that's great! It takes a while to calculate the serving size, but it's easy if you follow the instructions to program it. The best part was how weird it was to hear my recorded voice calling the cat to eat...even months later it freaked out the family! They are now Olympic sprinters when they hear my creepy voice calling to them!

DUDUPET Cat & Dog Smart Automatic Feeder With HD Camera 4L

This is the first automatic feeder I've ever owned and I'm not sure how I lived without. After a ton of research, I'm so happy I found this one. It came sophistically packaged and works great! My kitty, Maude, also loves it! She can be very skittish with most sounds (it is super quiet) but goes running every time she hears her kibble hit the bowl. I absolutely love the free app and how easy it is to schedule multiple portioned feedings throughout the day or immediately release a bit of food if Maude wants a snack and I can't pull myself away from that zoom meeting that should have been an email. Also, the WiFi set up could not have been easier, even my parents could have done it.
