Cocker spaniel tore ACL left hind knee. Tried 4 different braces that didn't work before finding this design. It immobilizes the bending if the knee with the stabilizers in the brace. The fact that you can loop it into the top of the brace after wrapping around back and rear part of belly keeps this in place! The velcro straps on the brace itself allows you to adjust how snug you need it, which is good for custom fit! The belly strap is nice and wide and soft. A male dog may have issues with the belly band, tho. Ours is female and this works great paired with no slip doggy sox! I have only one issue...if the knee needs to bend, this brace won't allow it. It is an immobilizer! Dog may try and walk with leg stiffened out and still not put weight on it, instead of tucking up leg by bending knee like they did before. This brace is perfect for dogs who have healed some and will try putting weight on the injured leg. Velcro is very strong, does not come undone. Material is thick. Well made.
