I found that the inner side of the buttocks has a softer design, which is elastic and provides more support. It's a bit like an inflatable design. When my dog lies on the ground, it will be easier for the buttocks to touch the ground.
My cat didn't seem to mind this carrier; it was easier to load him into it compared to his old hard plastic carrier of the same size.
I think my cat was calmer because he is able to see outside the carrier through the mesh panels. The mesh is very thick and coated. It's sturdy enough that I think a cat would have a difficult time trying to chew/claw through it.
The exterior zippers are secure and there is a board that inserts along the bottom so the carrier stays rigid when it's loaded with a cat.
I'm pleased with this carrier simply for the fact that it was more comfortable for me to transport my cat to the vet and I felt like he was secure inside the soft carrier.

Perfect for short trips! My cats are very relaxed in the crate and it folds up easily. If you have a large cat or dog though, you might want a larger size.
This is a very sturdy animal carrier. It can hold even a fat cat or a 4lb dog. It folds up into itself with the strap to keep it closed. It's very strong material. My cat used to scratch the bottoms of the other cheap carrier I have and almost get out. This one has way better stronger material to where she won't be able to do that. And there is plenty of ventilation and either a big zipper or a small one whichever way you want to use to get the animal in and out.
This pet carrier is really lightweight! It is very comfortable and spacious for my cat when traveling on the plane. The TSA-approved design made security checkpoints super smooth. I would recommend this to all pet owners who need to travel with their pets!
