My cat didn't seem to mind this carrier; it was easier to load him into it compared to his old hard plastic carrier of the same size. I think my cat was calmer because he is able to see outside the carrier through the mesh panels. The mesh is very thick and coated. It's sturdy enough that I think a cat would have a difficult time trying to chew/claw through it. The exterior zippers are secure and there is a board that inserts along the bottom so the carrier stays rigid when it's loaded with a cat. I'm pleased with this carrier simply for the fact that it was more comfortable for me to transport my cat to the vet and I felt like he was secure inside the soft carrier. This is a very sturdy animal carrier. It can hold even a fat cat or a 4lb dog. It folds up into itself with the strap to keep it closed. It's very strong material. My cat used to scratch the bottoms of the other cheap carrier I have and almost get out. This one has way better stronger material to where she won't be able to do that. And there is plenty of ventilation and either a big zipper or a small one whichever way you want to use to get the animal in and out.

In fact, he apparently loved it because he's been sleeping in it for the last 2 days - not continuously, of course, but it appears to be his new favorite bed (for now). It's very well constructed of durable material with ample padding for both your back and shoulders. Great ventilation and you can choose to cover the large opening if needed.

This thing is big. I bought it to transport 2 cats from PA to TX. The design was well thought out. It is easy to set up and fold up. I like that it comes with a carrying/storage case. The floor pads have zippers for easy cleaning or replacing pads or maybe to add support or extra cushion to them. The front and side accesses are a tremendous help when having to access from a car to get cats out or to change litter. Also, I have this in my Livingroom no set up as a toy because they love it so much!
